Abstract
Problem Statement: The concept of peace in the realm of theoretical mysticism, meaning inner peace or pure submission, appears to be in a seemingly paradoxical situation with what occurs in the realm of practical politics, such as jihad. A relation of identity is not established between them. This research seeks to answer the question: What is the relationship between the concept of peace in the two fields of Imam Khomeini's mystical thought and his practical politics?

Objective: To discover and explain the deep and systematic connection between these two realms and to demonstrate how mysticism served as the theoretical foundation and guiding principle for his practical politics regarding peace and war.

Research Significance: Given the numerous challenges arising from the construction of a distorted image of the intentions behind the Islamic Republic of Iran's actions as a destabilizing and warmongering actor in international circles and global public opinion—which threatens Iran's security and national interests—it is essential to clearly elucidate the humanitarian nature underpinning Iranian statecraft. Because once this is conceptually clarified, the development of media annexes will be facilitated, and the possibility of countering this cognitive and perceptual warfare against national interests will be provided.

Method: Qualitative content analysis of mystical works and socio-political literature, employing an interpretive-analytical approach based on a Gadamerian reading.

Findings: Imam Khomeini's mysticism is based on "substantial motion" (harakat-e jowhari) and practical spiritual wayfaring (suluk) for the establishment of truth (iqamat-e haqq). Therefore, the desired peace is an "active," "justice-oriented," and "negating oppression" peace, not a "passive" and "submission-oriented" one. Intrinsic peace (with God), just social peace, and confronting oppression and the oppressor are ranks within a single, unified intellectual system.

Conclusion: In Imam Khomeini's thought, practical politics oriented towards peace is itself worship and a manifestation of mystical wayfaring in the social sphere.
