The history of institution-building and thinking in the political and governance arena in Iran, from ancient times to the contemporary era, has always had a special place and importance. Hence, a significant part of the Full of ups and downs history of political thought in Iran has been devoted to the institution of governance.
This article aims to explain the process of history of political thought in Iran by analyzing the theories of Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi's "The Qutb", Mulla Sadra's "The perfect human", Mohammad-Hossein Naini's "The Constitutional Government", and Imam Khomeini's "The Absolute Authority of the jurist". also examines the influence and acceptance of these theories and thus, it shows that the aforementioned theories indicate the evolution of political thought from governance based on Farr-e Izadi to institutional governance.
In this regard, this article discusses the influence of Suhrawardi's anthropology on Mulla Sadra's theory of the perfect human, as well as the effect of Mulla Sadra's theory on the authority of mujtahids in issuing fatwas, and its impact on Naini's political thought due to its preparation for a governance based on law arising from Jurisprudence and jurisprudential rules.
This research, based on the "qualitative research" method and considering the historical-analytical approach, has explained the course of the idea and thought of the institution of governance in Iranian history from ancient times to the contemporary period and has concluded that the history of political thought in Iran, regardless of its ups and downs, indicates the process of progress of the idea of the institution of governance from ancient times to the contemporary period.
