What keeps the idea of the republic in the center of attention of the political system and elevates it to the limit of a fundamental value is mainly due to the statements and emphasis of Imam Khomeini as the founder and main thinker of the Islamic Revolution. He is one of those who believe in the compatibility of Islam and democracy, and he has a deep belief in the role of the people in determining their destiny, and they consider the republic an element that realizes and guarantees the Islamic aspect of the system.
From the total of Persian-language research works, 4 general categories of researches can be mentioned; Researches that consider the Republic as a tool in Imam's thought; Researches that consider it original and a part of his thoughts; Researches look at it from the aspect of the legal text and researches that introduce the idea of republicanism as an unavoidable issue based on the expediency and expediency of the times in the Imam's thought. Although the second aspect is the dominant aspect; Therefore, it seems that the country's scientific community's perception of Imam Khomeini's thought points to the originality of the republican thought in his system of thought and that there is no inherent conflict between Islamism and republicanism, but each must be put in its position and from the same point of view analyze Therefore, the republic, in addition to the fact that it has its own rational foundations and evidences can be provided in the holy text and the behavior of the innocents (PBUH), which has been accepted as a form and the principle of the Shura can also to some extent confirm its authenticity. republican thought; However, Islam is the main core and software of governance, and the republic cannot be opposed to its basic principles and its certain destiny. Therefore, according to Iranian researchers, Imam Khomeini's view of the republic had originality and was accepted by him as one of the human achievements in the field of social life, in a way that can also guarantee and support Islamism.
