Abstract
A Research into Certain Predictions Concerning the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini’s Leadership

This essay deals with the following question: did the predictions about Imam Khomeini and his leadership in the Islamic Revolution have a role in the victory of the Revolution? In this paper, we assume that human interactions are not necessarily based on rational considerations, but religious beliefs and, in some contexts, even cultural milieu may set a ground that one accepts metaphysical claims. Some of these beliefs say that there are gifted people who in the light of God’s grace and through contemplation and spiritual journey are able to predict the future. There are such predictions about the Islamic Revolution. Our findings show that certain people through their predictions had been able to have an effect on society’s beliefs and were effective in the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
