Abstract
The main objective of the present article is to identify and analyze the role of governing institutions in creating and strengthening national unity and their impact on national cohesion. Governing institutions, as the main structures of community management, play a vital role in creating and maintaining national unity. Unity, through the connection between individuals and groups, strengthens solidarity and cooperation towards the development and progress of society. Governing institutions, by ensuring the rule of law, provide an appropriate platform for preserving and continuing diverse identities and cultures. These institutions, by creating an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect, help reduce social tensions and enhance national unity. This article aims to answer the main question: how can governing institutions help strengthen national unity and reduce social tensions? To answer this, a qualitative research method and documentary analysis were used. The findings indicate that governing institutions, by adopting inclusive and participatory policies, can help strengthen national identity and reduce social tensions. Moreover, governing institutions must pay more attention to the needs and demands of various ethnicities and groups in order to achieve lasting national unity. Finally, solutions such as enhancing transparency and creating platforms for active citizen participation in decision-making processes have been proposed to strengthen national unity and increase social cohesion.
