Islam has taken more of an ideological role in new millennium, especially in the Middle East. Accordingly, the present study tries to explain and examine the role of Wahhabi ideological confrontation with Islamic Republic of Iran's discourse in the creation of the middle east new geopolitics after the Islamic Awakening in terms of identity and ideologically. Within a constructivist theoretical approach framework, this study argues that foreign policy outputs of Saudi Arabia and Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years which in turn have been influenced by the Wahhabi ideology and Islamic Revolution ideals and principles, have played a prominent role in intensifying the competition between the two countries and the subsequent formation of new geopolitics in the middle east. In other words, along with the commencement of Islamic Awakening in different countries of the Middle East, Iran has taken various measures in the framework of Imam Khomeini's thoughts and revolutionary ideals. But Iran's regional dynamics was faced with serious reaction of the other important actor in the region, Saudi Arabia which has an anti-Shia-Iranian-revolutionary nature according to the Wahhabism procedural grounds and is trying to stand in the way of Iran's regional role and influence so seriously. Saudi Arabia and Iran conflict and competition between the two countries in this field now has led to an identity geopolitical competition which subsequently has intensified the whole competitions in the Middle East.
